I’m really grateful that Ms. Roberts was my first pe teacher at Independence because she genuinely made the class bearable and fun. One of the things I remembered most about her class and what made me like her so much was that instead of weekly mile runs that other teachers made us do, we would instead have some other mix or activity of physical exercises that weren’t as boring as just running a mile and being done for the day. You were one of the only teacher’s who have made me realize that teachers do care more about a student’s mental health/well-being. Although you had surgery and were still healing, you still put in the effort to put on a smile and push through. That is what a teacher should be like.
