Dear momma Hafalia….IT’S TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK!!! Not to get too cheesy, but you’re awesome. I hope you know that you’re an amazing person and a great teacher. And although I never got the best grades in chem, I think we both know that was just because I had (and sometimes still have) a bad work ethic because you were and still are a great teacher in all aspects. *cue the sappy music* You’re a teacher that makes students feel heard and loved, and that’s really rare, your compassion and sensitivity always amazes me, and although you may not think you’re doing much, it really is the little things that count. I recently looked back on all of our emails, and I'm not gonna lie. It made me tear up a little bit. Most teachers rarely email out additional studying resources, but you emailed me for the littlest things, just to check up on me or to just say thank you for something small, and reading back on them made my heart feel full. You’re one of the best human beings that I've ever known in my whole 17 years, 6 months, and 30 days of living, and I hope you don’t forget me, lol. I won’t even get mad if you use me for your “one of my students was unable to balance their academics and extracurriculars, and their grade suffered” example. *Alright, sappy music over* Gosh, I still can’t believe that this all started because you forgot to pack lunch for yourself.
