Hey Mr. Khanssari! My name is Steven Le, and I was a student in your Math Analysis Class last year (5th period, 2019-2020 school year). For teachers' appreciation week, I just wanted to express my thankfulness and gratitude for having been in your class and really reflect on how much you taught me academically. Regardless of the difficulties in learning math concepts in precalculus, or the hardships in taking your quizzes, I personally wanted to say that I truly enjoyed your teaching methods and teaching tactics, both of which I honestly think have contributed to who I am today as a student. I recall stepping into your class on the first day of my sophomore year with an open mind, regardless of what past students told me about you, and I’m glad I did so. I recall trying my hardest on that day to answer some “brainy” math questions that were difficult yet simple on your slides presentations, and it sort of opened me to the enjoyment of learning. Your teaching style caught my attention on the first day of school as, honestly, I don’t really think I’ve had a math teacher that teaches in the in-depth manner you do. Not to mention names (obviously), but in months past in my Calculus class, I’ve heard time and time again about my classmates’ math teachers didn’t teach them this or that, all the while I sat there and, in my mind, proudly knew these concepts because my math teacher for Math Analysis had taught me in a manner that made me not only want to learn but in a way that would make sure I could retain the information that was being taught. Instead of completely relying on textbooks and worksheets, you took your energy to write problems students like myself were having difficulties with, going through the ENTIRE process to ensure that we knew how to do what we needed to learn. Essentially, for teachers' appreciation week, I just wanted to let you know that I truly appreciate having been in your class and having had you as my math teacher. I can genuinely say that you’ve had a positive impact on my academic life, and I can’t thank you enough for it! So again, thank you, Mr. K, for being the teacher you are! I hope your year on distance learning has gone well, and I wish you the best of luck for future years of teaching :)
