Thank you so much for working so hard this year to try and engage students in class. Distance learning is tough, but I really appreciate you for working so hard. Sometimes, my heart breaks when I see you discouraged in class because of the virtual modality, but I’m really grateful for how you reach out to students individually and check for understanding. You truly want us to learn and find beauty in calculus, and your enthusiasm for math is infectious. You also want to get to know us as people. A lot of times, I’m scared of asking questions, but every time you encourage us, I feel a little more brave to ask for help, and whenever you’re addressing and helping me in the class, you can make a big class feel like one on one tutoring. I really appreciate the attention to detail you give to your students to empower them with math skills, and I hope you remember that you have so many students, including me, who appreciate everything you do for your classes. I hope to meet you in person someday to talk with you before I leave. Thank you for helping me feel confident in calculus!! Happy Teachers’ Appreciation Week! I can’t wait to see what the rest of your classes hold!
