Dear Ms. Dang, To honor Teacher’s appreciation day, I wanted to write a letter to you in order to express my gratitude for you as a teacher and show how much of an impact you made on me as a student. First and foremost, I love the fact that you shared pieces of your personality into your lessons, and I find it very humbling because it shows me that you are in many ways similar to us. The moments you would go off tangent and talk about different topics were fun and made class very enjoyable. Not to mention Psychology itself. One thing I picked from your class is classical and operant conditioning. I was able to implement positive reinforcement when it came to training my dog properly and improving her friendly nature around other people. She came a long way overall, and I’m happy I was able to help her through your lessons because they came in clutch. Another lesson that stood out for me was when we covered deafness and how it affected people. Within the lesson, I was able to put myself in the person's shoes. That alone motivated me to pick up sign language, and so far, I kinda slowed down with learning, but I do love the process of signing and learning it, and I thank you for that. You may not know it, but all these lessons played a vital role in shaping me into the person I am today, and I genuinely appreciate that. I am aware that being a teacher is a difficult task sometimes, so I’m glad I was able to take the time to make a letter for you, and I will be looking forward to paying visits to your classroom after I graduate!!! Sincerely, Keona Myles, IHS Student
