Kaylie Simmons appreciates Mr. Ryan Taylor, a teacher at INDEPENDENCE HIGH SCHOOL in San Jose, CA

Hi Mr. Taylor, Long time no talk. I would just like to appreciate all your time and energy that you put when teaching your students. I always loved going to your class because you made teaching so interesting and fun. Some things that admire about you would be how you would make an effort to make a connection with your students because other teachers don’t really do that. I remember one time during class you asked me why I don’t use Braga then I told you the reason, and I appreciate you asking me because normally teachers don’t really ask that, and it just shows that you care about your students’ lives outside the classroom environment. You probably didn’t think that made an impact on me, but it did because not a lot of people know why I don’t use Braga, and I don’t really like talking about that topic, but I felt comfortable talking about it with you. I also liked how you would talk about your life outside the classroom, like about your experience in high school, your past school experience, or about your family so that we can know you better... I remember how cold your classroom was and your frozen stickers on the wall that I loved. I also appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to respond to my emails last year about Mr. Nguyen, my old math teacher that I didn’t enjoy having and how I wanted to leave his class for your math class. It was nice talking to you through emails because during that time, I was having a difficult time doing distance learning, and you made me have hope to change my math teacher because that class was one of the reasons why I wasn’t doing good that time. I also love your Youtube channel, it just makes me so happy seeing your content, and congrats on having 600 subscribers, don’t forget about your students when you get Youtube famous BAHAHA. I hope that you teach math 3 next year because it would be really cool to have you as my teacher again. Thank you for everything, and hope to see you on campus next school year!! -Obama :)
