Happy Teachers Appreciation Week! I hope you’ve been well and still enjoying teaching AP Lang as much as you did last year! How have your classes been virtually? With graduation coming around the corner, I just wanted to share my appreciation for you and why not during the week for teachers! As you may know, junior year became an obstacle for me because of my personal life. You were the ONLY teacher that year who was constantly checking up on me after my grandma passed away. It was a small gesture that made a huge impact on me. I was on the verge of giving up academically, but your reassurance would always keep me going, knowing at least one of my authorities genuinely cared. Thank you :) Also, I know I wasn’t the best student because I never knew how to put my thoughts and ideas into words, but your class changed the way I read and even read people. I would always be shouting rhetorical devices in my head like I cannot read in peace. I just thought it was funny to share. Lang is still one of my favorite classes! Hope to see you soon!
