Dear Ms. Nguyen, Happy Teachers Appreciation Week! I wanted to write you a letter to show you my gratitude for teaching me and your other students during these hard times. I’m really grateful for you being my teacher and teaching me to love math. I walked into your class sophomore year, with no intention of trying in math or any other class but when you started teaching and when we started connecting and becoming close, I was motivated to start trying in class and actually do better. Your lessons with your many jokes and joking with the class made Period 2 Math 2 my favorite class. I’d also like to thank you for sitting me next to Krishan because I developed a great friend and meaningful memories in your classroom. I’m glad we got comfortable enough with each other for me and Caroline to hang in your classroom during lunch and break sometimes, but sorry for being a burden. But I want to thank you for always trying to lighten up the mood in class. Thank you for always making jokes with the students and trying to make us laugh. The amount of times you’ve made my day better with your teaching is a lot. You also helped motivate me during the beginning of senior year. Knowing that I was going to be taking your class during my last year of high school made me happy, motivating me to wake up on Mondays and Thursdays to enjoy and learn in your class. I’m glad I had you as my teacher! :’D Love, Erin Melody Berido Co’21
